April is over already

I can't believe April is almost over. This month has gone by so fast. It is has been a while since I have posted anything on my blog so here is what we have been up to. We had a great Easter. The Easter bunny came as spoiled us both. That afternoon we went to my Grandam's Easter party. We had a lot of fun eating, playing kickball, and just hanging out.

For my birthday Jess and my family spoiled me. Jess even got up early and decorated the house with streamers and banners. He is such a great husband!

Jess made me this giant cupcake for my birthday. I have never had a cupcake so big. It was swirrl (chocolate and white) cupcake. He did such a good job!

Over spring break we went to the St. Anthony sand dunes in Idaho. We went up with our friends on Friday night and we came home on Saturday. I wasn't originally planning on going but at the last minute I decided to go. When we got up there on Friday the wind was blowing and it was kind of cold. As the night went on it got colder and colder. When it was finally time for bed, I was freezing. The wind was blowing and the fire was not keeping me warm at all. Jess decided earlier that we should just sleep in our Mountain Air trailer (which is what we hauled the 4-wheeler up in). Let me just say that the trailer was not warm at all. It is a small tin box that has NO heat. We had an air mattress to sleep on and like 6 blankets on top of us plus we were both inside our own mummy sleeping bags with our heads covered because it was so cold. If I hadn't been to cold to move I would have gotten up and driven to a hotel but I was seriously to cold to move. When morning finally came ( we slept for maybe 2 hours total) I reached for the bananas I had brought for breakfast and the were completely frozen. I snapped it in half when I hit it against the wall. I also had a bottled water behind me and it was frozen solid.
On Saturday we got up and headed out on the dunes to go riding. Jess had given me carhart overalls for Christmas and I have to say that I was very glad I had them on this trip. They kept me warm while we were riding. They are not very flattering but they were warm. Saturday was a lot of fun. The weather was not to bad and we had fun riding and hanging out with friends.

3rd Row Baby!

Earlier today my Aunt Jackie called and asked if we wanted tickets to the Jazz game tonight. Of course we said yes and they ended up being on the 3rd row! Neither one of us have ever sat that close before. We were right behind the basket closest to the Jazz bench. It was a great game. Jess and I were even on the Jumbo Tron a few time. One time I was on there by myself dancing. ( I was trying to win free food from Costa Vita) It is so much different when you are that close. All of the players look so big.
When we were leaving we went down onto the floor and out the tunnels. On the way out we passed Jerry Sloan. He was walking right in front of us. I took a lot of pictures so be prepared!

Lake Tahoe

Last Sunday Jess' brother Kirk came up to visit and said that he was leaving on Tuesday to go to Lake Tahoe on business. He invited Jess and their other brother Paul to go. So on Tuesday they were headed to Lake Tahoe.
On Wednesday they went skiing at a resort called North Star. I think this picture is so cool with the lake in the background.

On Thursday Jess and his brother Paul drove to California and went to the ocean. They stopped at a place called Meir beach near San Francisco.

Jess said the waves were really big and there were some people surfing. The weather was around 67 degrees and needless to say I was really jealous! It was snowing here and I am ready for spring!

On Friday night is snowed about 2 feet so when they went skiing on Saturday they were skiing in a whole bunch of new powder!

While Jess was away I spent most of the time hanging out with my family. On Saturday my mom, sister, and my neighbor Chelsie came over and we made some seasons blocks. I had already done Fall and Winter so these are the two I did.
