For Spring Break this year we went on a trip to California with both sides of our family. We spent the first part of the week with Jess' parents, his brother Kirk, his two boys, and Jess' niece Savannah. We left home of Saturday March 29 and drove to Las Vegas. Boston did great in the car the entire trip. He was such a trooper. Boston and Savannah took a few naps in the back seat.
On Sunday we woke up and headed towards Anaheim. We stopped in Barstow for lunch. As we left we got ice cream cones and Boston loved it!
On Monday we headed to California Adventure. Boston loved riding the bus to and from Disneyland. Every time he would see it he yelled bus!
This was us as we entered the park. There was so much to see, Boston didn't know what to look at.
The first ride we took Boston on was the carousel. He wasn't sure what it was at first but when he figured it out we rode it 4 times in a row!
This was the Heimlich the caterpillar ride from a bugs life. He loved this ride too!
That night we went to the World of Color Water Show. It was AMAZING!
On Tuesday we had tickets to the Dodges vs. Giant baseball came that night. Before the game we went and hung out at Huntington beach. While we were walking along the pier we saw three dolphins swimming. Boston liked playing in the sand with Grandpa Daines.
The baseball game was a lot of fun. The Dodgers ended up loosing to the Giant but it was a fun game to watch. We actually had pretty good seats too.
On Wednesday we went back to Huntington Beach for the day. It was a little windy but we had a lot of fun. Boston loved playing in the sand. We had a beach volleyball game and Jess and his niece and nephews went swimming. The water was a little to cold for me.
On Thursday and Friday we headed to Disneyland with my family. We were there right when the park opened both days and we didn't have to wait in any lines in the mornings. We rode the rides and saw a whole bunch of charterers. It was fun to see all the kids interact with each other.
Boston loved to see all the characters from a distance but when he got up close to them he wasn't sure what they were. However by the end of the trip he started to warm-up to them. He even gave a couple of them a high five and knuckles.
We really like the buzz light year ride. There was no line for this ride on Thursday or Friday morning so we rode this one a lot!
While everyone else was riding Splash Mountain I took Boston, Roman, and Mele on the Winne the Pooh ride. That was the nice thing about the child swap pass we could take the smaller kids on rides and then switch places so everyone could go on the bigger rides.
Meeting Winne the Pooh and the gang!
Boston and Daddy. It's hard to see but Boston is wearing his new mickey mouse hat.
Meeting Goofy in Toone Town.
On Friday we left Disneyland to go grab some dinner. Before we left be bought Boston a Pluto pillow pet. He carried it the entire bus ride back to the hotel saying "woof woof!"
Heading back to Disneyland. Boston liked to push the elevator buttons.
Our last night there we went to the World of Color show again.
On Saturday my cousin was getting married in Las Vegas so we packet and headed there.
Boston with ready to " hit the road."
After the wedding was over we headed to St. George to spend the night so we were a little closer to home. On Sunday which happened to be my birthday we woke up and went swimming. The pool was so warm and the weather awesome!
We had a great trip!
